I’m finally sitting down to write a post-trip update.  My last update was the night before the last day of the retreat.  On that final day I ended up getting a solid half-day of work in and was well enough rested to give me energy for not only the mo...

  • This is a worship song written by one of my students in the Thame language (northeast nepal). It is Philippians 2:10-11. We are so excited to see this kind of thing happen! https://app.box.com/s/lgg8601dxs18hrn5os0k

My last update was Monday morning, before the day had really begun. There is an office with WiFi (but no plumbed toilet)  where we are building the studio and with a room where I can study. I completed a few more lesson outlines and spent more time trying to make all of them smaller and more concise. • Started the morning with a delicious breakfast, at Cafe' Soma, with Jeewan and his wife Katelyn and their new baby. Mostly "western" type breakfast, eggs Benedict, French toast, eggs and toast, fruit, and cappuccino, very tasty!

  • Nepal Update – Monday October 13th This is the first time I’ve been on a laptop and able to write up a longer update post. Thank you for praying for our travel. Our flight to Philadelphia and hotel stay went without incident, but the flight to Qatar on Saturday was canceled due to a plane problem and we spent 12 hours in the airport until they sent us to an airport hotel for a free meal and night of sleep. On Sunday morning we took the same flight out (10:25am Eastern) so we’ve lost 24 hours, which is hard with such a tight timeline. But God always has reasons for the curve-balls He throw,...

  • Brazil and Chile??? Did your Nepal Team get re-routed that far and wide, Joal?!? No, nothing like that. The Nepal guys are finally on their way winging it to Asia, via the Middle East. But we also have another elite 3 person team leaving in just about a month for Brazil and Chile. It's a total tag team event being led by WMM's Director of Worship, Kurt Coble. KC will journey to Chile solo to spend some time teaching the musicians we met while working with Pastor Franklin earlier this year. Then he'll jet across South America to the "belly of Brazil" to Recife, Brazil. There he'll be joined by ...
