GREECE 2015 Alan -- Day 1-2
Some general insights from Alan–Day 1: started out with a wonderful european breakfast. So many of the mentors have vast mission field experience and the atmosphere is rich with comraderie and loving support. Morning devotions went better than last night, getting stronger. The group sang with grateful hearts and the energy in the room was full of the Holy Spirit. During the devotional time, Jim spoke about intentional leadership both in vocation and when mentoring junior leaders. The SIM staff are doing a great job of facilitating this conference. Something I hadn’t realized is that most missionaries have a vocation that allows them to go into countries that do not, in general, allow missionaries. This allows them to serve their respective communities while witness to the people they come into contact with. I’m enjoying leading these wonderful, dedicated servants in worship. I can’t wait to see what God does tomorrow!
