ZIMBABWE-Erica Monday

Erica–Zimbabwe 8-8-16: Today was great! We taught guitar, violin and piano for about 3 1/2 hours during the day, and many of the students made astounding progress. For the violin, we started by talking about how to hold the instrument, then started in “twinkle, twinkle, little star”, a great song for beginning violin. Tomorrow I’m hoping to start on Amazing Grace. I know Geoff and Wendy worked on it today, as well as a couple other worship songs. Everyone is so eager to learns, and they are wonderful about helping each other and takin turns with the instruments. Geoff also led a session on songwriting, which went very well. One of the groups had a full fledged worship song in just a great Minutes!

After teaching, I was able to accompany our host’s daughter and a few others to the bore hole, where they pump drinking water because the tap is not good water and is undependable. This evening after dinner, we had students still eager to learn, so we had some more instrument sessions. I hope all that makes sense! Have a great day! Erica
